Terms

Last updated October 23, 2026

These are the rules for playing Headcount (headcountgame.com). By playing, you agree to them. They're short on purpose.

The game

Headcount is free. A new party opens every night, and the answers you guess come from people who played the night before. We may change the game, the questions or the scoring at any time, take a night off, or stop running it.

Who can play

You need to be at least 13.

Your name

Sign with your own name, or a nickname you'd say out loud. Don't use someone else's name, and nothing rude or hateful. We may hide or remove a name for any reason.

What you send us

Your guestbook answers and feedback are yours. By sending them, you let us use them to run and improve the game: your answer becomes part of a later night's results, mixed in with everyone else's, and we read your feedback. Please don't put private information in either.

Playing fair

Don't try to break the game, flood it with fake answers, use bots, or get at other players' information. If you do, we may block you and remove what you sent.

No promises

Headcount is made for fun and comes as it is. It may have bugs or go down. Streaks and scores are kept on your phone and can be lost if you clear your browser or switch phones. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for any loss that comes from playing or not being able to play, and if we ever were, it wouldn't be more than what you paid us, which is nothing.

The fine print

These terms are under the laws of the State of Utah, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Utah. If one part of these terms doesn't hold up, the rest still does. We may update these terms; the date at the top will change, and playing after that means you're fine with the new version.
