How to play

Headcount is a daily game where you guess how everyone else answered. Last night, people answered some questions. Tonight you guess how they answered.

Five rooms

Kitchen. A two-answer question. Slide to guess what percent picked the first answer.

Living Room. Four answers. Tap them in order, most picked to least.

Backyard. Everyone answered with a number. Guess the average answer.

Basement. Four answers, and we tell you the smallest share, like "Which answer only got 14%?" Pick that one.

Rooftop. Three or four answers. Drag the lines to guess how the picks split.

Points

Each room is worth 20 points, so a perfect night is 100. The closer your guess, the more points you get. At the end you see how you did against everyone who played that night.

A new party every night

A new game opens at 11 PM Eastern, every night. You get one try. Come back the next night to keep your streak going.

The guestbook

Before you leave, you sign the guestbook by answering one question for yourself. Tomorrow, that question is in the game, and everyone guesses how the party answered it.

Bring a friend, get a hint

Your shared results carry a link. If a friend who's never played opens it and finishes a game that night, you get a hint the next night: one nudge for that night's hardest room, like "Backyard: guess lower than your gut." One hint a night, however many friends you bring.
